Our founder’s own breastfeeding challenges created a passion to help other mums that still inspires everything we do today. When Resheda Hagen began breastfeeding, her nipples advanced from tender to excruciatingly sore. Unable to get relief from products readily available, she reluctantly considered weaning. With encouragement from a La Leche League Leader to try lanolin – found by her doctor husband in a hospital pharmacy - she felt immediate relief. Resheda began advocating the benefits of pure lanolin as a treatment for sore nipples and founded Lansinoh in 1984.
